Lydia Jung is a lighting designer, theatre maker, and artist born and raised in Massachusetts. Jung believes in the importance of community-based works and accessibility in both theatre and the arts as a whole, and they strive to reflect these beliefs in their work. They are deeply passionate about storytelling in all its forms, and that passion is reflected in the wide range and variety of experiences in their background. In addition to lighting, Jung has worked in both costumes and scenery as a designer, technician, and everything in between. They have also performed in numerous shows and recitals as an actor and vocalist. In addition to their work on college productions, Jung has worked as a lighting technician with Williamstown Theatre Festival in Williamstown, MA, and a dresser and costumer with The Lost Colony in Manteo, NC. They also have experience working as a writer and writing tutor, and have training in collaborative writing techniques. Jung is a resident of Berkshire County, and earned their Bachelor of Arts in Theatre at the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts.
